"Peace, Love, and UFO" - Renderman "First Contact" Art Challenge (Finalist)
This is my entry for Renderman "First Contact" Art Challenge. We were given some startup asset such as UFO and Van to help build the scene. A huge shoutout to Renderman challenge staffs too who given contructive feedback from time to time. Last would like to thanks Ranch Computing for free render farm render. Would not be able to complete this render without the help of external render farm.

Concept.
The story begins with a group of hippie humans on a carefree road trip who stumble upon an alien that has just crash-landed on Earth. Luckily for the little visitor, these humans are kind-hearted and decide to bring it along for the ride while they help repair its spaceship.

The alien itself is a cute, goofy creature, I want them to look totally harmless at first glance . They are draws to warm colors and especially their favorite f sunflower.

The design carries 70s influences so I gave the final image a touch of vintage film grain and tone to evoke that nostalgic, “peace and love” road-trip vibe.
